Contains correspondence, program scripts, and transmitter logs. Correspondence files include FCC communications (station license, construction permits, engineering exhibit & plans, etc.), information about Mary Avery, WSU Archivist, and her program "Washington Archives" and her textbook on Washington State history. Other material includes remodeling plans and blueprints of the radio station, brochures describing the station and its history and service, speeches written by Burt Harrison, Station Manager for seventeen years, press releases, program information and announcements. The collection also includes program scripts covering such items as agricultural extension broadcasts, musical and literary programs, dramatic productions, and school broadcasts. Most of these programs were locally produced.

Mary Avery was the author of a number of books and articles on Pacific Northwest history including Government of the State of Washington, 1948, and History and Government of the State of Washington, 1961. Her Washington: A History of the Evergreen State, 1965, was widely used as a high school textbook in the state. Avery served on many committees and survey projects related to historical records and research projects; was archivist for the Holland Library at Washington State University, 1957-197...
